Discussion documents for the

1st National Conference on Marine Waste  

APLM, together with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), is hereby making available the discussion document that will serve as the basis for the preparation of the 1st National Conference on Marine Waste, to be held in Lisbon in 2016.

One of the main objectives of this 1st Conference is to formalize the Portuguese Partnership for Marine Waste and to verify the availability of the creation of the Partnership of Portuguese Language Countries for Marine Waste, within the scope of the Global Partnership for Marine Waste.  

The discussion documents for the conference are available in two versions (English and Portuguese), so that it can reach a wider audience. This document presents the state-of-the-art in relation to the theme in Europe, focusing on Portugal, Africa, focusing on Portuguese-speaking countries and the Rest of the World.
