2nd Portuguese Conference on Marine Waste and Microplastics

September 21 - National Beach Cleaning Day

This year, the 2nd Portuguese Conference on Marine Waste and Microplastics took place in Setúbal.  

This conference was  mainly focused on positive solutions for plastics and the reduction of marine litter and had contributions from several  stakeholders  who were part of debate panels on  policies and awareness, economy and society, and research and development of solutions  innovative.  It also included a  research workshop  on distribution and effects of microplastics.

 

Three years after the success of the 1st edition, APLM joined  in  new  various stakeholders ,  giving  visibility to a community that includes more and more actors and  strengthening  the ties between the various sectors of society, from a perspective of co-responsibility for change, both social and business, now framed by the European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy.
